HONG KONG (MarketWatch) — Crude-oil futures extended their steep recent decline in Asia on Thursday as high U.S. inventories and the prospect of more oil supplies from Saudi Arabia combined with weak Chinese manufacturing data to pressure the commodity.

 

October futures for light, sweet crude-oil futures CLV2 -1.10%  skidded 97 cents, or 1.1%, to $91.01. The drop came on top of a 3.5% tumble in the contract in a regular New York Mercantile Exchange session on Wednesday.

At current prices, front-month crude-oil futures have slumped more than 8% just this week.

 

Preliminary data from HSBC on Chinese manufacturing conditions in September Thursday showed a drop in activity for the 11th straight month.

SYDNEY (MarketWatch) — The dollar edged mostly higher on Thursday, after weakness in a key early gauge of Chinese manufacturing, though it slipped some against the Japanese yen.

 

The ICE dollar index DXY +0.35% , which measures the greenback against a basket of six major currencies, traded at 79.300, from 79.113 in late trading on Wednesday.

 

The euro EURUSD -0.5203%  reached $1.3012, from $1.3051 late the previous session.

 

With an auction of 10-year Spanish debt due Thursday, Michael Hewson, strategist at CMC Markets said a disappointing outcome may bring market attention back to Europe’s debt troubles.

กรมอุตุนิยมวิทยา พยากรณ์อากาศ ร่องมรสุมกำลังปานกลาง พาดผ่านภาคเหนือตอนล่าง ภาคกลางตอนบน ภาคตะวันออก และภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือตอนล่าง ประกอบกับ มรสุมตะวันตกเฉียงใต้ ที่พัดปกคลุมทะเลอันดามัน ภาคใต้ และอ่าวไทย มีกำลังปานกลาง ลักษณะเช่นนี้ ทำให้ภาคเหนือตอนล่าง ภาคตะวันออกเฉียงเหนือ ภาคกลาง ภาคตะวันออก และภาคใต้ฝั่งตะวันตก มีฝนเกือบทั่วไป และมีฝนตกหนักบางแห่ง ขอให้ประชาชนบริเวณดังกล่าวระวังอันตรายที่อาจจะเกิดจากฝนตกหนักในระยะนี้ไว้ด้วย

 

ส่วน พยากรณ์อากาศสำหรับกรุงเทพมหานคร และปริมณฑล ตั้งแต่เวลา 12.00 น. วันนี้ - 12.00 น. วันพรุ่งนี้ มี

ฝนฟ้าคะนองเกือบทั่วไป ร้อยละ 80 ของพื้นที่ และมีฝนตกหนักบางแห่ง อุณหภูมิต่ำสุด 25 - 26 องศาเซลเซียส อุณหภูมิสูงสุด 32 - 33 องศาเซลเซียส ลมแปรปรวน ความเร็ว 15 - 30 ก.ม./ช.ม.

"ปลอดประสพ" แจงกระทู้สดสภา ยัน รัฐบาลไม่ใช่ต้นเหตุน้ำท่วม ย้ำ ทำถูกต้องแล้ว "สาทิตย์" แฉ มีทุจริตงบน้ำท่วมสุโขทัย

 

นายปลอดประสพ สุรัสวดี ประธานคณะกรรมาการบริหารจัดการน้ำและอุทกภัย หรือ กบอ. ตัวแทน นายกรัฐมนตรี ตอบกระทู้สด เรื่องการป้องกันและแก้ไขปัญหาน้ำท่วม นายสาทิตย์ วงศ์หนองเตย ส.ส.ตรัง พรรคประชาธิปัตย์ โดยยืนยันว่า รัฐบาลไม่ใช่ต้นเหตุ ที่ทำให้เกิดเหตุน้ำท่วมในขณะนี้ เนื่องจากแผนงานของรัฐบาลเป็นไปในทิศทางที่ถูกต้อง ทั้งแผนการระบายที่ทดสอบไปใน กทม. และมีความคืบหน้าในส่วนงานของ กบอ. โดยมีการนำงบประมาณ ไปใช้ดำเนินการในหลายโครง หลายพื้นที่ ซึ่งเชื่อมั่นว่า สามารถรับมือได้ แม้จะยอมรับว่า มีการดำเนินการที่ซ้ำซ้อนกันบ้าง โดยเฉพาะกับทาง กทม. แต่ก็มีการยกเลิก และคืนงบประมาณกลับไป โดยยินดีจะให้ข้อมูลเกี่ยวกับรายละเอียดการใช้จ่ายงบประมาณ

 

ขณะที่ นายสาทิตย์ กล่าวว่า มีงบประมาณของรัฐบาลในส่วนงบ 1.2 แสนล้านบาท ที่ลงไปแก้ไขปัญหาจัดการน้ำที่ จ.สุโขทัย นั้น พบว่า ใช้งบไม่เป็นระบบและมีพิรุธ
