The Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index (PMI) released by both the Chartered Institute of Purchasing & Supply and the Markit Economics captures business conditions in the manufacturing sector. As the manufacturing sector dominates a large part of total GDP, the Manufacturing PMI is an important indicator of business conditions and the overall economic condition in UK. A result above 50 signals is bullish for the GBP, whereas a result below 50 is seen as bearish.

พี่ท่าน ! ไอ้ตามคาด เป็นตัวเลขที่คาดว่าเลวร้ายน้อยที่สุดแล้ว. ส่วนตัวเลขที่ออกมา ต้องเปรียบเทียบกับของเดิมที่ออกมาครั้งก่อน ดังนั้น ทั้ง Germany และ EU ถือว่า มันลดลงกว่าเดิมนะครับ จึงเป็นที่มาว่า ราคาทองลด

UK: PMI manufacturing rises in March against expectations

UK March manufacturing PMI 52.1 from a revised 51.5 in February

 

FXstreet.com (Barcelona) - UK Manufacturing Purchasing Managers Index grew to 52.1 points in March, following 51.5 points in February, according to data released by Markit. Analyst expected a decrease to 50.7 points.

 

การที่ได้ตัวเลขจาก UK ที่ออกมาดีกว่าเดิม อย่าคิดว่าจะช่วยดันราคาทองนะครับ แค่พยุงไม่ให้หนักกว่าเดิมเท่านั้น เพราะสมัยนี้ ไม่รู้ใครตัดหางใคร ระหว่าง UK หรือ EU

The Unemployment Rate released by the Eurostat is the number of unemployed workers divided by the total civilian labor force. It is a leading indicator for the European Economy. If the rate is up, it indicates a lack of expansion within the European lobar market. As a result, a rise leads to weaken the European economy. Generally speaking, a decrease of the figure is seen as positive (or bullish) for the EUR, while an increase is seen as negative (or bearish).

LONDON (MarketWatch) -- The unemployment rate in the 17-nation euro zone increased to 10.8% in February, on a seasonally-adjusted basis, compared to 10% in February last year, according to Eurostat, the statistical office of the European Union. In January, the unemployment rate stood at 10.7%. The jobless rate for the broader, 27-nation European Union hit 10.2% in February against the year-ago period's 9.5%. Eurostat estimated that there were over 24 million unemployed people in the wider EU in February, of whom just over 17 million were in the euro zone. The lowest unemployment rate was in Austria (4.2%) and the highest in Spain (23.6%). In the U.S., in February the unemployment rate was 8.3%.
