Factory Orders measures the change in the total value of new purchase orders placed with manufacturers. The report also includes a revision of the Durable Goods Orders data released about a week earlier as well as data new data on non-durable goods orders.

 

A higher than expected reading should be taken as positive/bullish for the USD, while a lower than expected reading should be taken as negative/bearish for the USD.

The Institute of Supply Management (ISM) Non-Manufacturing Purchasing Managers' Index (PMI) (also known as the ISM Services PMI ) rates the relative level of business conditions including employment, production, new orders, prices, supplier deliveries, and inventories. The data is compiled from a survey of approximately 400 purchasing managers in the non-manufacturing sector. On the index, a level above 50 indicates expansion; below indicates contraction.

 

A higher than expected reading should be taken as positive/bullish for the USD, while a lower than expected reading should be taken as negative/bearish for the USD.

Gold falls below yesterday’s lows

Gold is now lower today after the $20 decline yesterday. There are reports of hedge fund liquidation. Apple is another hedge fund favorite and it's also down today. The US dollar is broadly (albeit slightly) stronger after the ISM data. There isn't much to like in the gold chart at the moment.

กองทุนคงขายทอง เอาเงินมาปันผลก่อนเป็นแน่แท้

มันไม่ใช่ปันผลครับแม่พลอยฯ แต่เป็นผลทางอ้อมมาจาก " หน้าผาการคลัง " ที่ข้อยกเว้นของการลดหย่อยภาษีในตลาดหุ้นฯ สินค้าโภคภัณฑ์ จะมาถูกคิดภาษีเข้ารัฐฯ ด้วยอัตราที่สูง จากผลกำไร มันคงกลัวแก้ไขไม่สำเร็จ เลยถอนตัวออกมาก่อน เพื่อดูลาดเลา แต่ยังไง ถ้าดอลล์อ่อนค่าลง ราคาทองที่ผูกติดไว้กับดอลล์ ก็จะทำให้ราคาทองถูกลง หลายฝ่ายในสถาบันการเงินฯ ก็ยังคาดการณ์ในแง่ดีครึ่งเดือนหลัง
