ราคาทองคำในตลาดโลกมีการ Rebound ขึ้นมาเล็กน้อยมาเคลื่อนไหวอยู่ใกล้ระดับ US$1,230 ต่อออนซ์ (Gold spot) โดยราคาทองคำยังคงได้รับผลกระทบจากประเด็นเรื่องมาตรการ QE ที่แม้ GDP ไตรมาส 1 ของสหรัฐฯจะออกมาต่ำกว่าที่คาดก็ตาม รวมถึงประเด็นการควบคุมการนำเข้าทองคำของอินเดียเพื่อลดการขาดดุล ขณะที่นักวิเคราะห์หลายฝ่ายมีมุมมองในเชิงลบต่อทองคำมากขึ้น ล่าสุด เอบีเอ็ม แอมโรได้ปรับลดคาดการณ์ราคาทองคำ ลงสู่ US$1,100 จากเดิมที่คาดไว้ที่ US$1,300 โดยคืนนี้ติดตามตัวเลขยอดผู้ขอรับสวัสดิการว่างงานและยอดสั่งซื้อสินค้าคงทนพื้นฐษฯของสหรัฐฯ ซึ่งหากออกมาดีกว่าที่คาด อาจกดดันราคาทองคำให้ลงต่ออีก ด้านค่าเงินบาทยังคงอ่อนค่าอย่างต่อเนื่อง ล่าสุดอยู่ที่ 31.14 บาทต่อดอลลาร์ กองทุน SPDR รายงานการถือครองทองคำคงที่ระดับ 969.5 ตัน โดยปรับลดไปแล้วกว่า 380 ตันในปีนี้

แนวโน้มทองคำ นายกมลธัญ พรไพศาลวิจิต ผู้จัดการฝ่ายวิเคราะห์ บริษัท จีที เวลธ์ แมเนจเมนท์ จำกัดและผู้อำนวยการศูนย์วิจัยทองคำ กล่าวว่า หลังหลุดแนวรับสำคัญ โดยสัญญาณที่เห็นชัดเจนคือการฟื้นตัวของตลาดหุ้นสวนทางกับตลาดทองคำที่ยังเผชิญแรงขาย ซึ่งถือเป็นสัญญาณที่ไม่ดีนักเพราะถ้าการฟื้นตัวทางเศรษฐกิจสหรัฐฯ เป็นไปในทิศทางที่เป็นอยู่ในปัจจุบันและมีการลดขนาดมาตรการสภาพคล่องจริงในอนาคตทองคำอาจจะไม่ใช่สินทรัพย์ที่มีความน่าสนใจในการถือครอง ขณะที่ตลาดหุ้นอาจจะปรับตัวบวกได้ดี ทางเทคนิคระยะสั้นหลังทดสอบแนวรับเมื่อวาน วันนี้มีโอกาสฟื้นตัวเล็กน้อยในกรอบ US$1,250-1,270
